Becoming a Member
Membership contributions help with operating expenses, and as per the by-laws, it is required to make a financial contribution to be a member. Funds are used for things such as accountant and bank fees, print and on-line media, mailings, and membership recruitment initiatives. Any financial contribution is appreciated.
Join a Committee
These committees support the functioning of the organization throughout the year. Listed below are the committees and what they do. Please consider volunteering for what best fits your areas of expertise and interest.
Membership & Recruitment - responsible for the administration of membership dues and records, as well as attracting prospective members, educating the public and new members about the Aid and its function for CJR.
Administration of member data
Promoting the Aid and CJR
Events Planning – responsible for the oversight and development of fundraising events. This includes type of event and the implementation required for its execution.
Venue themed decorating /Floral Design
Invitation and Program design
Communications & Promotion – responsible for internal and external communications to Aid members and the public; website, blog and social media content development and maintenance; event communication and promotion.
Painting, drawing, graphic design
Writing, journalism, historical research and documentation
Advertising & Marketing
Social media expertise
Web content & design
Endowment – oversees the management of endowment funds and works with the selected financial advisor to establish investment guidelines.
